Reverse Engineering & Design

With over a half-century of experience working in the field of reverse engineering and design of critical components and equipment in the power and process industries, the DutyServe, Inc team has the expert knowledge needed to provide all types of components. Using our state-of-the-art, cutting-edge equipment and 3D modeling CAD software along with some of the best engineers in the business, DutyServe, Inc will work with our clients to accurately retrieve the original design intent of all types of components and equipment and provide like-kind or some cases, exceed original design to extend the life of the part.

With all our industry knowledge of form, fit, & function along with the expert tools in our repertoire, DutyServe, Inc can take a used part to create an accurate 3D model to convert to CAD. Measurements taken are then validated using advanced methods, with no part being too complex in geometry or design and material. Utilizing all this combined expert experience, knowledge & equipment, we can then manufacture a precise component in a timely fashion, usually within days during a short-windowed outage or shutdown.

DutyServe, Inc also has the capability of bringing a completely tooled mobile reverse engineering team to a client's site regardless of location. We work with our clients and their supply chain to capture data on critical parts in company storerooms and warehouses so that there's an option outside the OEM for quick delivery & fair pricing on critical components that would otherwise be either obsolete or very long lead time. We also have digital inventory control management where we archive all measured components' CAD files for future ordering purposes cross-referenced to part number and/or equipment tag#, making the client's procurement process smooth and easy.

The DutyServe, Inc quality guarantees that all parts and components are made to the utmost quality standards.

Here are some of the tools & equipment used in our reverse engineering and design process:

  • Non-Contact 3D Laser Scanners

  • Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs)

  • Positive Material Identifier (PMI Alloy Analyzation)

  • Measuring Tools (Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges, Etc.)

  • Hardness Testers

  • Surface Finish Testers (Profilometers)

  • Computer Tomography (CT Scanners)
